Army Bharti 2026 Trade Wise Eligibility Criteria
Agniveer (General Duty – GD)
Class 10th /Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
For boards following grading system, min of ‘D’ grade (33% – 40%) in individual subjects or grades with 33% in indl subjects and overall aggregate of ‘C2’ grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.
Note: Candidates with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for Driver requirements.
Agniveer (Technical)
10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject. OR
10+2 / intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English from any recognized State Edn Bd or Central Edn Bd to include NIOS and ITI course of min one year in required field with NSQF level 4 or above. OR
10th/Matric pass with 50% in aggregate and min 40% in English, Maths and Science with 02 yrs of Tech Training from ITI or two/three yrs Diploma in following streams (as notified in the rally notification).
Agniveer (Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical)
- 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class Xll is mandator
Agniveer Tradesmen 10th pass
- Class 10th simple pass.
- No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored in 33% in each subject.
Agniveer Tradesmen 8th pass
- Class 8th simple pass.
- No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored in 33% in each subject.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Process 2026
Recruitment process will be conducted in two phases. Phase-I will be Online Common Entrance Exam at Computer Based Test Centres allotted to the candidate and Phase-II will be Recruitment Rally by Army Recruiting Offices at Rally Venue (Intimation and details of Computer Based Test/ Rally venue will be sent to all candidates on their e-mail ID).
Join Indian Army Agniveer CEE 2026 Details
Online test will be objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Agniveer (General Duty, Technical and Tradesmen (8th & 10th)) candidates will have to answer 50 questions in one hour and Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical will have to answer 100 questions in two hours.
Common Entrance Examination (CEE) will be conducted in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Marathi, Gujrathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Urdu (13 languages).
Marking pattern for online test:-
- Full marks for every correct answer.
- Nil marks for unattempted question.
- All questions, if attempted, will be considered for evaluation, even if marked for review.
Indian Army Agniveer Employability, Training, Leave 2026
Employability – AGNIVEER enrolled under this entry are liable to be assigned any duty in organizational interest, at the discretion of the Indian Army.
Training – On being enrolled, AGNIVEER will be imparted military training based on requirement of Indian Army.
Leave – Grant of leave will be subject to exigencies of Indian Army. The following leave may be applicable for Agniveer during their engagement period: –
- Annual Leave: 30 days per year.
- Sick Leave: Based on medical advice.
Indian Army Agniveer Skill Certificate 2026
At the end of engagement period, a detailed Skill-Set Certificate will be provided to the AGNIVEER highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by the personnel during their engagement period.
Join Indian Army Agniveer Photograph 2026 Information
Twenty (20) copies of unattested Passport size colour photographs developed on good quality photographic paper in white background not more than three months old. Computerized / photocopied / shopped photographs will NOT be accepted. Photographs must be with proper haircut and clean shave in white background (except Sikh Candidates).
Army Bharti 2026 Online Registration Process
- All candidates to log in to www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, check their eligibility status and create their profile.
- Online Registration (submission of application) will commence from February 2026 to March 2026.
- Examination Fee. Examination fee of Rs 250/- per Category of application is to be paid by the candidate for the online examination.
- Duplicate/ incomplete/ erroneously filled application will be rejected.
- Candidates are required to have an active email & mobile number which will be used for further communication.
- Candidates must indicate five choices of the exam centre.
- Request for change of exam centre or date of selection test will not be entertained.
- Candidate should enter AADHAAR number in online application.
- Category wise link has been provided on JIA website to enable candidates to practice online Common Entrance Exam as per their category.
- Candidates are advised to upload only recent photograph on JIA website. In case the photo does not match the face of candidate, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for any test.
